Description The project intent is to return the historic Lightship Ambrose to her original 1907 in-service appearance. The work will allow reactivation of the lightship as an educational platform in support of the South Street Seaport Museum''s mission. The work will involve transporting the Lightship Ambrose to a qualified shipyard/drydock, stabilization of the hull structure & water proofing, installation of a new composite wood deck, restoration of the deck houses, masts, rehabilitation of portlights, installation of new climate control & monitoring systems and various other improvements throughout the vessel.
